LETTINGS MARKET UPDATE FOR EDGWARE AND BUSHEY - NOVEMBER 2023

LETTINGS MARKET UPDATE FOR EDGWARE AND BUSHEY - NOVEMBER 2023

HERE IS YOUR LOCAL LETTINGS UPDATE AND SOME TOP TIPS.

The Lettings market has exploded during 2023 particularly in the Edgware and Bushey and surrounding areas. This is a lot to do with the fact that tenants are decided to continue renting and put off purchasing a property for now.

As we move into the final months of the year, we would have expected things to start quietening down, but as we write this we are currently handling15 properties to rent - 5 of which are 1 bedroom properties in Bushey, as well as a variety of other 2 and 3 bedroom properties.

From a stock perspective we seem to be busier than ever, however we would comment and say that we do feel the quality of applicants has dipped as we head towards Christmas.

We do continue to be incredibly fussy when selecting our tenants as we are of course trying to do the best possible job for the landlord with finding the best possible applicant for their property.

At Benjamin Stevens, we have been assisting landlords and tenants for over 20 years. The best advice we could give a landlord would be to keep your property in the best possible condition. There is definitely a strong link between quality of property and quality of tenant.

Nicely presented properties attract the right sort of person and this makes it easier and quicker for us to find the right person.

When a property is dated/not in the best condition or needs improvements, we find that we have to do a lot of sifting through poor quality applicants in order to try to do the right deal.

Get your property freshly painted and fully cleaned and that will allow us to get you the best possible price and the best tenant more quickly.
